Johnny Hallyday exhibition – The travelling exhibition dedicated to the singer will open its doors in Brussels on 20 December before passing through Paris in January 2024.Thought as a tour, this retrospective will then go on the roads for 5 years. On the program: immersive projections, spectacular installations or personal objects of the Taulier.
This is a project that is particularly close to his heart. Laeticia Hallyday announced that the travelling exhibition dedicated to Johnny Hallyday would open its doors in Brussels on 20 December before passing through Paris in January 2024 at the Porte de Versailles exhibition centre.
“Deeply moved and proud to be able to share this magnificent exhibition in tribute to Johnny. With the whole team that surrounds me, it is the result of two years of work, research, memories that we will soon share with the public,” explained the widow of the rocker in the caption of a video presentation of the event.
“To imagine this exhibition, I was nourished by everything I learned alongside him, his sense of detail, show, show and his excessive ambition for his audience.
Through this journey through time, thanks to a multi-sensory and emotional experience, everyone will be able to rediscover or discover the man that was Johnny by combining the spectacular and the intimate,” she continues.
On the occasion of the 5th anniversary of the death of Johnny Hallyday, fans will be able to immerse themselves in the world of Taulier thanks to this exhibition which is intended to be alive and not frozen. “Little, you take care of your entrance and your exit from the stage and, between the two, you screw up”, had advised Maurice Chevalier to Johnny at his beginnings.
The visitor will begin his experience with a show made up of Johnny’s various spectacular entrances.
Enough to put in the mood before strolling through a journey inspired by the words drawn from the artist’s repertoire (love, solitude, cinema, public, star, USA ).
At the center of the exhibition – whose scenography recalls the shape of a guitar – the visitor will be able to attend a mini-concert with some of his greatest hits.
Johnny’s office reconstructed identically
Also on the menu is a monumental installation with Johnny’s guitars, stage costumes, hundreds of intimate objects that have followed him all his life, immersive multimedia projections and sets inspired by the stage and backstages.
Fans will also discover an identical reconstruction of Johnny’s office with his personal belongings. Enough to fully commune with the rocker.
