The Legend of Zelda: Sequel to Breath of the Wild Coming in May

Sequel to Breath of the Wild will be released on May 12, Nintendo announced on Tuesday. The game is called 

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom .

The sequel to Breath of the Wild was announced in 2019. Last year, Nintendo showed new images of the game for the first time, after it had not released any news about the game for two years.

Sequel to Breath of the Wild

Breath of the Wild was released for Nintendo Switch and Wii U on March 3, 2017. The Switch version of the game has sold nearly 27 million copies worldwide. It is one of Nintendo’s best-selling games.

Initially, Tears of the Kingdom was supposed to be released sometime this year, but that turned out to be unfeasible. “We have decided to extend development and postpone the release of the game until Spring 2023.

The entire development team is working diligently to make this game something special, so please have a little more patience,” said producer Eiji Aonuma earlier.
