Left aside in recent years, orange is back at Maratona do Rio. During many editions, the color was a symbol of one of the main races in the country. In this 21st edition, the Museum of Tomorrow will be printed on the 42km shirt.

The organization of the event, which will take place from the 8th to the 11th of June, presented the models of the shirts that will be used by around 40,000 participants in the 5 km, 10 km, 21 km and 42 km races, in addition to the Cidade Maravilhosa Challenge ( 21 km + 42 km).

“The Laranjinha is one of the symbols of the Rio Marathon and the entire history of the race. Her return means a rescue of the festival’s origins. We are sure that all runners who identify with the Rio Marathon and enjoy running the race will be happy with the return of Laranjinha”, said João Traven, one of the organizers of the Rio Marathon. For the Cidade Maravilhosa Challenge there will be two different shirts. The 21 km, on Saturday, will be in pink, and the 42 km in orange, both with the design of Pedra da Gávea and Morro Dois Irmãos. The 21 km and 42 km Challenge shirts were presented, respectively, by Yuri Barcellos, Rio Marathon art director and creator of the shirts, and Carol Sales, Challenge ambassador for the 2022 edition. Produced by adidas, a sports brand official of the event, the Rio Marathon shirts value care for the environment and the comfort of runners. The shirts are made of 100% polyester fabric, made with Primegreen (high performance recycled materials and free of virgin polyester) and with Aeroready technology, being soft and keeping the body always dry. Kit collection takes place at Casa Maratona, in Marina da Glória, on the following days and times: Thursday, June 8th, from 9 am to 5 pm; Friday, the 9th, from 9 am to 7 pm; Saturday, the 10th, from 8 am to 5 pm.
