The shocking reason for Amber Heard's reduction in Aquaman 2: The Lost Kingdom revealed

During an interview to promote “Aquaman 2: The Lost Kingdom”, the film's director, James Wan, was asked about the participation of Mera, the character played by Amber Heard in the film. The actress had mentioned that her participation in the film was affected due to her legal battle with actor Johnny Depp, her ex-husband.

In other words, Wan explained that Amber Heard's reduced screen time compared to the first film was “natural.” The first film focused on the romance and journey of Arthur (Mamoa) and Mera (Heard). The second film is an action and adventure story with a strong emphasis on the friendship and brotherhood between Arthur and Orm (Patrick Wilson).

As previewed by James Wan, the trailer focuses on the relationship between Arthur and his half-brother (and former enemy) Orm, as well as the threat of the villain Black Manta (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II), who wields the power of the mythical Black Trident. . Cast

The second film features new reinforcements, including Jani Zhao (“Double Game” and “South”), Pilou Asbaek (“Game of Thrones” and “Borgen”), Vincent Regan (“Tróia” and “300”), and the actress and model Indya Moore (“Pose”). They join familiar faces from the first film, including Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (“The Get Down” and “Watchmen”) as Black Manta, Amber Heard as Mera, Patrick Wilson (from the “Conjuring” franchise and ”) as Ocean Master, Dolph Lundgren (“Rocky IV” and “The Expendables”) as King Nereus, Nicole Kidman (“The Others”) as Queen Atlanna and Aquaman's mother, and Temuera Morrison (“The Mandalorian”) as Tom Curry, Aquaman’s father. The film is once again directed by James Wan (“The Conjuring” franchise).
