The Weeknd's album goes viral on the internet

The Weeknd continues to amaze with his impressive musical career. According to “POPLine”he has reached another notable milestone in his career. After becoming the first black artist to reach 10 billion streams with a solo album in Spotifywith “Starboy”he achieved another surprising milestone this week. His album released in March 2020, titled “After Hours”also surpassed the 10 billion views mark on the platform, making him the only black artist with two albums at this level.

It’s worth noting that “After Hours” is the eighth album in Spotify history to reach 10 billion streams, and The Weeknd is only the third artist to achieve this feat with two albums. It’s truly incredible! With 14 tracks on the standard version and 18 on the deluxe version, the album includes major hits such as “In Your Eyes”, “Save Your Tears”, “Alone Again” and the absolute hit “Blinding Lights”.

In addition to receiving critical and commercial acclaim, “After Hours” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, selling an impressive 444,000 album-equivalent units, including 275,000 pure sales. This is The Weeknd's fourth studio album and earned him a Certified Triple Platinum in the United States by the RIAAas well as many other records. The guy is unstoppable!

In October, the talented singer will bring his long-awaited tour “After Hours Til Dawn Global Stadium Tour” for the Brazil. He will perform at Rio de Janeiro on the 7th and on São Paulo on the 10th and 11th. It is important to highlight that all tickets are already sold out, which demonstrates the huge demand for the show.
