Attorney Joanna Parafianowicz says Piotr never gave permission to use images of him and that he suffered reputational damage from the documentary. According to the lawyer, Netflix insinuates with the documentary that Piotr knew about Leviev’s fraudulent practices, but according to the ‘bodyguard’ that is not true.

She wants Netflix to remove the title from the streaming service and come up with an apology, and she is demanding compensation of around 5 million euros.

In The Tinder Swindler , three victims, including a Dutch one, declare that Leviev would have defrauded women via dating app Tinder. He made them believe that he was extremely wealthy and the son of a diamond magnate.

The documentary shows him beating up several women and then stating that he was in danger and needed money. The victims gave him cash or their credit cards and believed he would pay them back later, which never happened.
