Tom Cruise ends relationship with Elsina Khayrova after meeting the socialite's children

The relationship between actor Tom Cruise, 61, and Russian socialite Elsina Khayrova, 36, has apparently come to an end after the Hollywood star was introduced to her two children, born from her previous marriage to Russian oligarch Dmitry Tsvetkov, ally of Vladmir Putin. According to sources from an English newspaper, the relationship would have “cooled” after the meeting with the children.

The romance went off the air

The union of Tom Cruise and Elsina Khayrova seemed to be advancing to a new level of commitment, according to close sources, who revealed that the actor was invited to meet the socialite's children recently, a 13-year-old boy and an 11-year-old girl. This meeting would have indicated a possible deepening of the romance, but ended up resulting in the relationship cooling down, according to reports.

Close friends of Tom Cruise informed The Sun newspaper that the actor chose to take a step back from the relationship, but expressed his desire to maintain a friendship with the socialite. This decision was influenced by the fact that they both lived in the same building in London, United Kingdom. A source commented: “Ending things on a bad note would have been awkward if they bumped into each other in the elevator”.

Cruise is the father of Isabella, 30, and Connor, 28, from his previous marriage to Nicole Kidman, as well as Suri, 17, from his marriage to Katie Holmes.

How the couple started

A source informed MailOnline that the couple has made their relationship official within their inner circle. “They have been very close in recent weeks, but are being extremely cautious to avoid being photographed together as they want to preserve their privacy“.

According to Page Six, the couple were seen together at a party in London in early December, with witnesses describing them as inseparable and Cruise visibly in love. Elsina Khayrova, 36, is a former model with British citizenship and part of her wealth was acquired during her marriage to Russian tycoon Dmitry Tsvetkov. The couple have accumulated several properties in places such as the United Kingdom, Dubai and Cyprus, as well as car and art collections.

While Cruise's romance with Khayrova has blossomed, issues of the Russian socialite's past with her ex-husband have been speculated. Dmitry Tsvetkov alleged that Khayrova hid part of her assets during the divorce process, including a collection of luxury handbags valued at more than R$5 million, according to information from the British newspaper Daily Mail.
