Travis Scott achieves impressive numbers with the release of Utopia and dominates the charts

This Friday (23), rapper Travis Scott achieved impressive numbers with the release of the album “Utopia“. The album provided fans with many special guests, sounds that the singer had not presented in his other projects, and even had one of his songs as the soundtrack for the film entitled “Circus Maximus“, being released in theaters in the United States.

With the success of the album, Travis became the owner of the fifth biggest debut on Spotify's platform of all time. Even after going almost 5 years without releasing an album, the singer managed to reach the 128 million mark. His latest work was “Astroworld“, considered one of Scott's best works.

Most listened to songs

Travis Scott got double the number for his album “Lil “Uzi Vert”after being the most streamed album of 2023. The single “Pink Tape“, scored 53 million plays. In addition to these singles, other songs were marked as the most listened to such as “FE!N“, with 8.9 million plays, “Meltdown“, with 9.5 million streams and “Hyaena” with 10 million.

With the release of the new album, the expectation with Travis' project is that the rapper will dominate the charts and reach the top spot in the ranking, doing what no rap album has done this year.

The album

Released in the early hours of the 28th, the album “Utopia” arrived on digital platforms with 19 tracks and featuring big names in the music industry such as Beyoncé, Drake, Future, Playboi Carti, SZA, The Weeknd, Young Thug among others.

The album was released by the record company Cactus Jack in partnership with Epic Recordsa division of Sony Music Entertainment. The single “K-POP“which is the 17th track on the album was chosen as the debut single from the new album, being made available to fans on July 21st on the platforms. Sharing with the public a small sample of what was to come, the song features the partnership of singers Weeknd and Bad Bunny who drove the public crazy with the essence of funk in the single and also a music video with the participation of SZA, who, even though she did not sing, appeared in some moments of the project.

Featuring Beyoncé on the single “DALRESTO (ECHOES)”, made the public create even more expectations for the new album. The singer shares some verses with the lead singer of the band Bon Iver, Justin Vernon.

The single “TELEKONESIS“, features the voice of SZA who also appears as lyricist alongside Kanye West, being credited in the composition.

In addition to appearing on the debut single, singer The Weeknd also sings on the track “Circus Maximus”, being the same name as the film announced by singer Scott on the 25th, the feature film will be co-directed by Travis alongside renowned filmmaker Gaspar Noé.
