Trump is only allowed to share messages on his own platform – Former US President Donald Trump is obliged to first post on his own social media platform Truth Social in the future.

After that, he has to wait six hours before he can share them elsewhere, according to documents filed with the American stock market watchdog SEC.

The documents were filed by Digital World Acquisition Corp., a company created to bring Trump’s social media platform to the stock exchange. Trump signed a document in which he agrees to the temporary exclusivity of his messages.

It does not apply to all messages. Trump is still allowed to share messages directly on other platforms from his personal account that are about politics, political fundraising and calls to vote.

Trump was banned from Twitter early last year after he was accused of inciting violence. In October, he announced that he was going to release his own social network: Truth Social. With the network, Trump reaches far fewer people than on Twitter.

Meanwhile, billionaire Elon Musk has made an offer to buy Twitter. He wants to make the network a place where freedom of expression is of paramount importance. Musk said he wants to restore Trump’s blocked account once the purchase is completed.

Trump has said he has no intention of returning to Twitter. He also calls his own platform “much better”. If he does become active on Twitter again, he can only continue his messages six hours after posting on Truth Social.
