Twitter fends off ads that challenge climate change,
Twitter is going to ban ads that question climate change from now on. The company announced this on Friday, on Earth Day.
“Misleading ads on Twitter that contradict the scientific consensus on climate change are banned. This is in line with our policy for inappropriate content,” said sustainability manager Casey Junod in a blog.
“We believe that climate change deniers shouldn’t make money on Twitter and that misidentical ads shouldn’t distract from important conversations about the climate crisis.”

The announcement comes at a time when Tesla CEO Elon Musk is trying to take over Twitter.
The billionaire indicated last week that he wants to take the company off the stock exchange for more than 43 billion dollars.
Musk has previously said that he thinks people should be able to say almost anything on the platform.
