Two workplaces of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Ebonyi State have been set burning by obscure people.
“The previous evening, Tuesday eighteenth May 2021, two INEC workplaces in Ebonyi and Ezza North Local Government Areas of Ebonyi State were torched by unidentified people,” INEC said in a tweet.
“No losses except for broad harms to the structure and offices.”
The occurrence happened not many hours before INEC’s gathering with heads of safety organizations booked for Wednesday over the assaults on its workplaces.
Around 23 INEC workplaces have been set on fire in the previous few months in various states.
The central command of the commission in Enugu State, was on Sunday night gutted by fire. This happened scarcely week after week INEC office in Obollo-Afor, Udenu, Enugu State, was flattened.
