THE girlband British, Spice Girls, starting the celebrations of the 25th anniversary of their second album entitled “Spiceworld”, launched on his YouTube channel, this Thursday (13), a new version of “Spice Up Your Life”the iconic music video that was originally released in 2009. Containing never-before-seen and futuristic images, the singers appear in control of an airship floating through the city. Lights, colors and a carousel with holographic images of the band's five original members are part of the new era.

The Spice team, along with UMR and Chris Fox from “Bring It All Back” are responsible for the new version, which was created entirely from images not used in the original video. In a note previously given to the press, the singers already celebrated the moment and all the collaboration of those involved: “The 'Spiceworld' era was such a fun time for us. We had just had a number one album, we were traveling all over the world and meeting our amazing fans, we released our second album and we had our own movie! Who would have thought that?”

The video arrives on platforms shortly before the release of the “Spiceworld 25”, the 25th anniversary re-release of the Brits' second album, which will include new remixes, new live tracks and a demo version of “Step to Me”, single originally recorded for a soda campaign, which won a lyrics video released in September. The project, which will be launched on November 4th, is already on pre-sale in the versions deluxe digital, double CD (in hardcover book package), vinyl and cassette tape. The singers also took the opportunity to launch a collection of commemorative clothing and accessories marking their 25th anniversary.

It is worth noting that the quintet created in 1994 in its original formation with: Victoria Beckham, Melanie Chisholm, Emma Bunton, Mel B and Geri Horner, formerly known as Geri Halliwell, was responsible for accumulating more than tens of millions of record sales and scoring hits as “Wannabe” and “Say You'll Be There”, besides others that were part of pop culture history.

Global sensation, the Spice Girls are considered the most successful girl group of all time. The band's message of “girl power” affected an entire generation of fans and artists alike. “In the beginning, we wanted to make music and have fun, travel the world and do all the fun things. But the message we were sending gave us more motivation. We were expressing ourselves as young women in the mid-1990s. We were fueling that fire.” , said Chisholm at the group meeting. Even as time passes, everything indicates that there is no one better than the Spice Girls to teach us how to take better care of each other.
