Video of rapper Diddy attacking Cassie shocks the web

Security camera video from 2016, obtained exclusively by CNN, shows rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs assaulting his then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura in the lobby of the InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles. The footage, captured on March 5, 2016, shows Diddy grabbing, pushing, dragging and kicking Cassie during a fight.

The video, verified by CNN based on public photos from the hotel, begins with Cassie leaving a hotel room and walking to a set of elevators. Diddy, wearing just a towel, runs after her, grabs her by the back of the head and throws her to the ground. He kicks her twice while she remains down. Diddy, still holding the towel around his waist, briefly drags Cassie by her hoodie, takes a purse and a suitcase from her, and throws an object in her direction before walking away.
