Today, Vitão presents to fans the second act of the album “ATO 2: TODAMANHÔ, a work that talks about the artist's worldviews. In this act, Vitão encounters a very reflective part of his conscience and his heart. The work includes sounds from pop rock to reggae, from rap to MPB, with influences from
bands like Charlie Brown Jr.
Composed of six tracks, the EP follows on from “ATO 1: TODAMANHÔ, which was presented in April. The full album, which will be available later this year, has 18 songs and was divided into three acts. In April, the singer presented the first part, which featured Ivete Sangalo, Mari Nolasco and Ms. Paola. Each of the songs depicts cycles, which begin and end at the end of the last beat.
The production marks the beginning of a unique era for the artist, bringing sounds never before worked on by the musician. It is a genre-fluid album, with a great musical ballad that draws from many sources, rhythms and styles, in addition to daring and overflowing Vitão's sweetest and bitterest feelings in the lyrics and chords.
Track by track, by Vitão:
The album opens with “olhar pro lado”, a song produced by me and Adelino Costa.
“Conexão” is a funk song from São Paulo with a beautiful guitar harmony, written and sung alongside MC Pedrinho and produced by DJ Murilo and LT at
beat. The song addresses the importance of a good connection in all its forms.
“Boombap” is a little more sarcastic and aggressive, with references to the acclaimed series “Everybody Hates Chris”, where I incorporate my rap references. I produced the beat for the track together with Nave.
Tumeligou” is the first track produced by Felipe, it is a song about the end of a relationship and was written with his partner Miss Paola. I am in love with the guitars in this song.
“Pra viver” is another track produced by me. In it I bring mine about things, about children and about what we need to do to live
fully.
To finish this act with a flourish, we have “dreamy blues”, a more melancholic song that shows a moment of weakness that we all have from time to time. We can't be 100% positive all the time. It is part of feeling the impotence of human beings in relation to the universe at times.
