Vogue Spain teaches tricks to intensify and prolong fragrance

Recently, Vogue Spain brought together, in an article, some tips and tricks from fragrance experts, designers and stylists, who revealed what to do to make the perfume last longer after application. Francis Kurkdjian, Lolita Lempicka and Jeanne Damas were some of the people who shared their opinions on the matter.

French trick

Perfumer Francis Kurkdjian confessed that women tend to use hair perfumes or even their usual perfume on the length of their hair, and thus manage to stay smelling good for a longer time. He also revealed that French women don't usually tell what perfume they are using, so that the fragrance is part of their intimacy and personality.

Lolita Lempicka said that the trick was part of her routine, and that she likes to perfume her hair.

French designer Jeanne Damas, creator of the Rouje brand, confessed that she applies perfume to the back of her neck and hair. “So, when you dance and move, everyone can smell you and it feels really good.,” she revealed.

Experts from the Givenchy brand, which in addition to having fashionable items, also has a beauty session where various perfumes can be found – including hair perfumes –, revealed that the trick is valid, as hair strands absorb smells with greater intensity. Using perfumes on your hair also prevents your hair from absorbing unpleasant odors, such as smoke or food.

Despite not being a very popular item, hair perfumes can bring other benefits besides leaving you fragrant all day: some have active ingredients that keep your hair silky and hydrated.

When applying a perfume to the hair, Givenchy recommends a distance of around 20 centimeters from the strands, preventing them from getting wet with the product, and allowing the perfume to leave traces of fragrance that can be felt for longer.
