Clarks Wallabees: a timeless fashion icon

Founded in 1825, Clarks is one of the most traditional brands in the world of footwear. Its history is marked by innovation, including the development of rubber soles and the creation of the first shoe molded to the shape of the human foot. Launched in the 1960s, the Wallabees combines leather and suede in a minimalist and functional design, with exposed stitching, crepe sole and anatomical shape.

Despite its controversial aesthetics, the model has transcended generations and gained space in fashion and pop culture, especially among subcultures such as the Jamaican Rude Boys, who adopted it in the 70s as part of their stylistic identity.
