Walter Casagrande reveals that his relationship with Tiago Leifert is not cool

Walter Casagrande Júnior, better known as Casagrande or just Casão, participated in the program “Melhor da Tarde” on the Rede Bandeirantes channel, called Band, last Tuesday, the 19th. On the program, Casão participated in a dynamic in which the interviewer, Catia Fonseca, said the name of a person in the world of soccer and the participant said whether he played on the same team or not. And during this activity, the former player revealed that he did not get along with the journalist and presenter Tiago Leifert.

When the presenter Catia said the journalist's name, Casão immediately, without thinking much, made it clear that he would not play on the same team as Tiago. When asked why he answered this way, the interviewee justified it by saying that the two have disagreements and have different thoughts. We are different, we don't have a good relationship. (…) Different ideas, different ways, some things happened that weren't nice,” he said.

Other names mentioned during the program were: Neymar, Sócrates, Arnaldo César Coelho, Galvão Bueno, Tite and Caio Ribeiro. The latter had a brief disagreement with Casagrande during a live program on Sportv, but when Catia recalled the discussion, the interviewee quickly explained and clarified the situation. He explained that what happened between them was just a difference of ideas, and that if the discussion had been just between them it would not have been a big deal, but others who were at the table agreed with what Casão was defending, all of them being “against” Caio. He also added that he has worked with his fellow commentator for over 10 years and that he has nothing against him, therefore, Caio does play on the same team as him.

Casagrande is a somewhat controversial figure because he always speaks his mind. At 59, he was a player and later became a sports commentator. He spent 25 years at Globo until he was fired in July of this year. He said that the network no longer wanted to mix politics with football and added that this decision was better for both of them.

Tiago Leifert has not yet commented on the matter.
