Will Smith and Jada Pinkett,
Destined to meet Or not! While they have been married for more than 20 years, Jada Pinkett and Will Smith recently revealed that they almost never met. Indeed, while the actor, single in the early 90s, had asked his friends if he could introduce them, he had finally ended up married with another woman, the mother of his eldest son Trey!
Definitely, there is no shortage of anecdotes in the love story between Will Smith and Jada Pinkett! Married since 1997 and parents of two children (Jaden, 23 and Willow, 21), the couple has gone through many hardships but is now more united than ever, especially after the incident of the slap at the Oscars.
However, the Independence Day actor and his wife totally missed their meeting and could have… never end up together!
Back to the early 90s, long before their union. Will Smith, a young actor in full glory thanks to the Prince of Bel-Air, notices Jada, an actress of her age and has a real crush on her.
He then goes to the set where one of his friends plays, to whom he asks to introduce him to the young woman.
But that day he will have a completely different encounter that will change his life, as he told in one of the episodes of Red Table Talk, his wife’s podcast.

“The guy who was supposed to introduce me to Jada was with another girl, and I asked him, ‘Who is she?’ It was Sheree! I came to meet Jada, finally met Sheree and ended up married to her.
We even had a child together, Trey,” he recalled. A few months after their meeting, the two young Hollywood stars had indeed married and welcomed their little boy the same year, in 1992.

A story that did not last long: in 1995, they had announced their divorce and this time, Will Smith had not let the woman of his life pass: returning to see Jada, he had confessed his love to her.
A story that still lasts today, and that required some clarifications, especially about the relationship of Will Smith and his ex-wife.
Sheree Zampino, also a guest on the podcast, remembered some aggressive calls from Jada, who didn’t really like being sidelined. The actress had even hung up on him.
“I called back and said, ‘Hey, co*asse, you live in the house I chose, and you say it’s your home, so calm,’” she said. A story corroborated by Jada, who had explained that she was struggling to find her place: “Will told me: ‘This is Trey’s mother and it’s just not your place’“.
Fortunately, everything is going well now: Jada Pinkett has agreed, over time, that her husband and Sheree Zampino spend time together and even go on vacation together, with their son.
“I feel that Trey needs to see the good relationship between his two parents, it’s very important that he can feel that connection,” she concluded.
