This Saturday (8), the Brazilian team beat Mexico 3-2 in a busy game, held in College Station, Texas, in front of 85,249 fans. Brazil's goals were scored by Andreas Pereira, Gabriel Martinelli and Endrick, while Quiñones and Martínez scored for the Mexicans.

Brazil takes the lead

With a formation mostly made up of reserves, the Brazilian team started well and opened the scoring after just five minutes. Andreas Pereira received a good pass from Savinho, dribbled his marking inside the area and finished with precision. In the following minutes, the team led by Dorival Jr. maintained superiority, but suffered some scares due to incorrect ball releases. Mexico, despite some attempts, failed to find the net and the first half ended with a score of 1-0 for Brazil.

Both teams made their substitutions, but it was Mexico who made the most of it. The team became more offensive and soon managed to reduce it with Quiñones, after receiving a precise cross. The Mexican equalizer came with Martínez, taking advantage of a corner rebound towards the end of the game. In the last play of the match, Endrick, who had entered the field in the second half, shone once again with Amarelinha and scored with a header, guaranteeing the Brazilian victory.

Upcoming challenges

The victory marked the first of two friendlies that Brazil will hold in preparation for the Copa América. Next Wednesday (12), the Brazilian team will face the United States, in Orlando. Mexico ends its preparatory games and will have Jamaica as its opponents in the first round of the Copa América.
