Wizkid and fans reacts immediately it surfaces online that the popular Tanzanian artiste, Diamond Platnumz, samples Wizkid’s Essence beat.
A lot of trends has been going on throughout the week.
Especially in the entertainment industry, following the receipt of the Grammy awards by its winner and the BBN Reunion.

The Tanzanian artiste, Diamond Platnumz, shares a video online where he was spotted jamming to his newly released single titled “Lovely”.
This was done by the Tanzanian artiste in order to promote the song.
The video was however met with mixed reactions from both Nigerian and Tanzanian fans due the beat of the song.
It didn’t take long after his Tanzanian fans praised him that Nigerians noticed that the beat was an adaptation of the beat from the single of Wizkid titled “Essence”.
The song was from Wizkid’s last album “Made In Lagos”.
Nigerian however, took turns to laugh at what they called a cover of Wizkid’s Essence.

It appears it didn’t go beyond Wizkid’s notice as he also dropped a laughing emoji in the comment section.
While this may seem funny, it’s however important that it’s an infringement on copyright.
Although, it’s still surprising Wizkid decided not to take any legal action.
