Dofus and Wakfu MMO Studio Shows First Trailer for Its Tactical RPG Waven

Following the successes of MMOs Dofus and Wakfu, developer Ankama has revealed the first trailer for free tactical RPG Waven, which will be released in 2023 for Windows PCs and Mac (Steam), as well as tablets and smartphones with iOS or Android operating systems.

Waven takes you to the dawn of a new era. Choose your hero, equip your best spells and embark on an incredible journey. Sail from island to island in a vast world full of colorful creatures, gain power, hone your strategy and discover the secrets of a world adrift.

Waven is an RPG that provides an accessible, fun and immersive experience. It has a gameplay that combines adventure and a strategic turn-based combat system, inspired by the best tactical RPGs, with deck building mechanics and valuable items to collect.

You can play alone or with friends, and in both cases you’ll face hordes of extravagant monsters that get stronger as you progress. But you’ll rise to the challenge as you can master the elements, cast powerful spells, summon mythical companions, and choose to dispatch your enemies from near or far. And of course, earn tons of loot afterwards!

Along the journey, your hero gains experience and new abilities! And there’s nothing like shade and fresh water: you’ll have to defend your “Haven Island” against attacks from other players in the game’s asynchronous multiplayer and you’ll have the chance to prove yourself in “Klossium”, where you can challenge other players and become a legend!
