This Sunday (02), thousands of people filled the streets of the city of São Paulo in celebration of the 28th LGBTQI+ parade, the event occupied Av. Paulista since 10:00 in the morning. The participants wore very colorful and exuberant costumes, there was no shortage of accessories such as flags and fans with rainbow colors and lots of shine, costumes in green and yellow innovated and gave a special touch to the event.

The organizers of the event brought 16 electric trios to entertain the public who took to the streets in the early hours of the morning, among the invited artists are Pabllo Vittar, Glória Groove and Filipe Catto.

According to the Ministry of Tourism, the event is one of the most anticipated of the year, as it attracts crowds out of season, hotels, bars, nightclubs, restaurants and transport are those that see a boost in the economy during this period. Participants who come from different parts of the country and the world show the strength and engagement of the movement. This year's proposal is to surpass last year's audience, which reached 3 million people.

Aiming to guarantee the safety of the public present at the event, São Paulo City Hall set up a special traffic scheme with closures on some roads, up to Rua Consolação. Around 1,400 military police officers worked directly to monitor the public and access to the site.

Voting as this year’s theme

This year, the organizers brought the slogan “Enough of Negligence and Legislative Retrocession – Vote Consciously for the rights of the LGBT+ population”, the idea is to encourage the population to vote for people who actually represent the interests and needs of the LGBTQIAPN+ public.

The community fights for representatives who understand the requests and who are committed to the cause of the movement.

In an election year, the group warned of the importance of representatives within politics, with the aim of creating laws that favor the fundamental rights of the population.
