'I am very busy to fight you'

National Security Consultant, Nuhu Ribadu, responded to the attacks to him for Nasir El-Rufi, former governor of the state of Kaduna.

El-Rufi had in an appearance on TV on Monday to blame for the investigation in progress of his government by the Commission of Economic and Financial Crimes (EFCC) and the independent corrupt practices and other committees of related offenses (ICPC).

He also accused Ribadu of using the acting governor of the state of Kaduna, Uba Sani, of staining his image.

“Ribadu is the architect behind my investigation and the attack on my commissioners,” said the former Governor in an interview with Arise TV on Monday. “He wants to be the president in 2031, so he is determined to eliminate any of us he sees as an obstacle to his ambition. Last week, I received information that Ribadu is asking everyone to indicate me by any means. ”

But, responding to the former Governor's claims on Monday night, Ribadu urged the public to disregard the allegations, saying they are false.

Ribadu said: “My attention was attracted to the interview given by Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, the former immediate governor of the state of Kaduna on Monday night.

“If my silence is not in danger of being interpreted as consent, I would have ignored it. I am very concerned about my current task to get into a media fight with Nasir El-Rufi or anyone else.

“Despite the bait and incessant attacks, I have never spoken badly about nasir registered anywhere. This is out of respect for our past association and our respective families. I won't start today.

“However, the public urges to disregard El-Rufi's statements against me.

“To avoid doubts, I want to note that I never discussed competition to the presidency in 2031 with anyone. All my focus and energy are completely focused on Nigeria's advance and the success of the President Tinubu government.

“Therefore, I ask Nasir El-Rufi that allow me to face my costly national mission, as well as I do not bother with your own subjects.”

Premium Times reported that the Chamber of the Assembly of the State of Kaduna indicated the El-Rufai Administration of Misão of about N400 billion.

The two main anti-exerted agencies, EFCC and ICPC are also investigating high El-Rufi government officials for alleged fraud with two of them being processed.

All employees denied any irregularity and claimed to have been witches.

The masters El-Rufi and Ribadu were friends and allies during the Olyegun Obasanjo government. They, however, made politically in 2011, Alhough, both are members of the Governing All Progressives (APC) Congress Congress.

In his interview on Monday, El-Rufi also indicated that he could leave the APC and said President Bola Tinubu changed his mind about having him in his office after named him.
