Dr. Joana Maciel is a reference in advanced aesthetics, but her path to success began humbly and with a lot of dedication. Graduated in nursing and physiotherapy, she began her career as a health agent in a family clinic in the community of Rocinha, in Rio de Janeiro, where she lived for 28 years. “Working in the largest favela in Latin America gave me a unique background and a deep understanding of the community's health needs,” says Joana.

Faced with daily challenges, she realized she could contribute even more. With the desire to expand her knowledge and impact, she studied Nursing and Physiotherapy and became involved in social projects for three years. This effort led her to open two aesthetic clinics in Rio de Janeiro, where she developed her own method, “JM POWER”.

The technique, centered on gluteal harmonization, offers personalized treatments for each client, with the aim of achieving results that enhance self-esteem.

Today, known as “Dra. Bumbum”, Joana achieved international notoriety. “It took a lot of effort, learning and resilience to get where I am,” she reflects.

With a postgraduate degree in advanced aesthetics and other training, such as physiotherapy, Joana continues to constantly improve. “I believe that all women have the ability to achieve their dreams, they just need to dedicate themselves with focus and determination,” states.

In recent years, she has maintained her commitment to Rocinha customers and expanded her service to other neighborhoods in Rio de Janeiro. “The idea of ​​opening a clinic in São Conrado came from a suggestion from the clients themselves, who wanted a closer space,” reveals.

Currently, it has expanded its services internationally, being recognized for its exclusive method, further increasing its impact in the world of aesthetics.
