Wild and medieval beauty define Dior's Cruise 2025 show

Dior's Cruise fashion show took place this Monday (03) in the garden of Drummond Castle, in Scotland. Inspired by the stories and Scottish medieval period, Maria Grazia Chiuri, creative director of the brand, bet on a collection and beauty that mixes the wild medieval beauty with the brand's classic key points.

Pieces rich in Scottish checks, with the famous tartans, in various tones and models came to life with classic modeling and punk style – a strong characteristic of the director. The beauty of the models that were part of the composition drew even more attention and gave an innovative freshness to the pieces and the collection.

Wild beauty

With an aesthetic reminiscent of medieval princesses and even warriors, the models paraded with long braids tied into a low hairstyle and braided with several golden threads that imitated thorns. In addition, several pearls and golden elements were also added to some models that looked like warriors after a battle.

The makeup was not left out of the medieval aesthetic and appeared in an ethereal and slightly dramatic way. Dior chose a shiny skin with a moonlight effect that brings a slight sparkling shine and gives a lighter delicacy to the models' faces. Another detail that attracted attention were the eyebrows that appeared laminated, sculpted and thick, giving empowerment and a wild beauty to the look.

To bring Scottish inspiration, Dior's Cruise collection brought plaid as the main point of the new collection. Making references to the kilt (chess piece worn by men in the region), Dior chose tartan plaid to compose the pieces.

The brand's “holiday” collection also brought references to punk aesthetics dressed in styles that mix with classic and rock, as well as colors in shades of strong purples, yellows, blacks and greens. In a press release about the collection's aesthetic, Dior explains: “the emblematic tartan, which sublimates kilts and combines countless colors, moves between tradition, reinterpretation and transgression.”

Overall, the new Dior collection pleased consumers who were expecting an innovative and modern collection this season.
