Mark Ruffalo in the All-New HBO Series Created by Mare of Easttown!

Mark Ruffalo will star in the new series from the award-winning creator “Mare of Easttown” (2021) Brad Ingelsby, for HBO platform. According to Variety, the series, still untitled, will deal with a police task force trying to apprehend a group of criminals. Mark Ruffalo, in addition to playing the role of the main police officer in the operation, will also be one of the executive producers of the series, which will portray both the daily life of the police and those outlaws.

The production marks the return of Ruffalo and Ingelsby to the stream, considering that both will previously provide services on the platform, in the case of Ruffalo for the last time in the series. “Know This Much Is True” where he plays two characters and won several awards for his performance, including an Emmy in the category “Best Actor in a Miniseries” in 2020.

Casting decisions were made before the start of the writers’ strike however, no progress was made after the announcement of the Writers Guild of America and therefore the series continues without a start date for productions and without a premiere date.

Executive Vice President of Programming and Director of Films and Drama Series at HBO, Francesca Orsi, was excited when commenting on the partnership of the two for the new series and the return to the platform:

When the opportunity arose to partner Mark on another series, we all jumped at the chance to witness him once again, breathing great humanity into a new role.”

Who will share the productions of the series with Mark Ruffalo and Brad Ingelsby will be the director known for directing “Hustle” from 2022 starring Adam Sandler, Jeremiah Zagar who will be responsible for directing the work in addition to being an executive producer of HBO’s new bet.
