Xuxa Celebrates 60 Years: Historical Show Enchant Audiences at Cruzeiro

In celebration of Xuxa Meneghel's 60th birthday, the Globo group mobilized to pay homage to the eternal queen of short people. In reference to the “Xou da Xuxa”on social media, GShow started to be called “GXou” and on TV, Multishow became “MultiXou”.

The mobilization of the Globo group to honor the presenter can be considered a historical reparation due to the little attention paid to the blonde's history during the network's 50th anniversary, in 2015. At the time, the only mention of Xuxa was: “Xuxa on the screen, in the background”said by Fátima Bernardes during the special program.

This Monday (27), Multishow paid tribute to Xuxa throughout the day with specials: “Vai Que Cola: The Queen’s Dress”, “TVZ – Ao Vivo” It is “Lady Night”. At the “TVZ – Live” presented by the singer Pocah, clips of the album versions were broadcast “Xuxa Festa (XSPB 6)” of successes: “Libera Geral”, Ilariê” It is “Playing Indian”. At the opening of the program, Pocah sang the song “Sweet Honey”.

Between 9pm and 11pm, the “Xou” performed by the queen of little people on her cruise. The show featured several songs from the blonde's wide repertoire of hits. In total, Xuxa sang 26 songs. They were:

At the end of the performance, Sasha's mother was surprised with a birthday cake and the audience sang the famous “Congratulations from Xuxa” for the singer. There are chances that Xuxa will carry out a new tour with the show presented on the cruise. In an interview with the newspaper Extra, the artist stated:

“I'm going to use this cruise as a thermometer to measure people's desire to have this show in their cities. If it happens, I still want to tour ten places in Brazil and end in Argentina.”

On Sunday (02), the “Fantastic” will show a report about Xuxa's birthday and show behind the scenes of her show at the end of the “Xuxa Ship”. On social media, Globoplay announced the release date of “Xuxa – The Documentary”. The documentary will be released on July 13th.
