Ary Borges shines with hat-trick in debut and wins dinner from coach Pia Sundhage

Ary Borges was the highlight of the Brazilian team in the victory against Panama, by 4 to 0. The 23-year-old midfielder scored three goals and an assist, which according to the technique sink sundhage“won a dinner“. Brazil debuted with a rout, at the Hindmarsh Stadium, in Adelaide, Australia, and leads Group H of the world Cup.

Pia did not reveal what she said to the players in the locker room, but she guaranteed a lot of happiness, and of course, from the top scorer on her debut: “Ary Borges is happy, he scored a hat-trick, he played well, so we have to buy him dinner”. After the match, the scorer of the night gave an interview and commented on the different feelings of the debut: “Today was a very special day. I never imagined it would be the way it was. I’m very happy for the three goals and much happier for the match we played.”

In the nine editions of the World Cup (since 1991), Brazil won the first game. Today’s rout was the third best score among the premieres.

Brazil’s next match

The Brazilian team ended the first round of Group F in the lead. The next appointment will be on Saturday (29), against the strong selection of France, at 7 am (Brasília time), looking for the second consecutive victory in the Women’s World Cup.
