FC Barcelona books narrow victory

FC Barcelona has Sunday a narrow victory booked in the top match against Sevilla. The Catalans won at Camp Nou with 1-0 and climb to second place.

Pedri was crowned matchwinner in Barcelona. The Spanish attacker made a little twenty minutes before time in a beautiful way the winning goal.

Nineteen-year-old Pedri cut out two players from strong-defending Sevilla and shot the ball from the edge of the sixteen-metre area into the left corner.

Frenkie de Jong had a starting place at Barcelona and was substituted shortly after the goal. Memphis Depay came in moments later for the home team, where Luuk de Jong was missing due to a corona infection.

Thanks to the victory, Barcelona is now second. The team of coach Xavi has as many points as number three Atlético Madrid and number four Sevilla, who have both played one more game.
