Just launched this Wednesday (6), on Prime Video the first trailer for her newest film called “An Idea of ​​You”, placing Anne and Nicholas as her romantic partner. The two end up facing certain difficulties in their relationship due to their opposite realities and this is how the plot unfolds. The film is also inspired by a book by Robinne Lee.

Details about the romantic comedy

Being inspired by the book, the film does not present many changes to its original story, in which we can follow the development of a couple, Solemn Marchand (Anne Hathaway) and Hayes Campbell (Nicholas Galitzine). Solemn is a 40-year-old single mother and haye is at the height of his 24 years and is a singer of a famous boy band.

The couple ends up meeting at an unusual moment while Solemn accompanies his teenage daughter to the big Coachella, a music festival that welcomes several artists every year and, for the fictional story, one of these artists is haye. The superstar is the lead singer of the band August Moon and has a naive encounter with Solemn before going on stage, and so the two end up meeting several times until they build a mutual feeling.

Despite the age difference, this is not the only thing that ends up disturbing the couple's dynamics, the spotlight of haye that are consequently brought into the life of Anne Hathaway's character can be a little too much, complicating issues related to privacy for both.

Adaptation promises to be a success

The book of Robinne Lee, released in 2023, ended up catching the attention of director and comedian Michael Showalter, who has already participated in the productions of “Love Sick” and “The Eyes of Tammy Faye”. The newest film will also feature a script by Jennifer Westfeld that already participated from the 1998 series Tres é Demais as Melissa.

The film has already won the hearts of many, for some time the public has been asking for series and films that bring clichéd stories from the 1990s and 2000s similar to “10 Things I Hate About You” or the famous “As I Was Before You ”.

Prime Video listened and responded to requests, “An Idea of ​​You” premieres on May 2, 2024 only on the streaming platform.
