Kourtney Kardashian's stepson has Tourette's syndrome

Landon Barker is opening up about her Tourette syndrome diagnosis. The stepson of Kourtney Kardashianson of Blink-182's drummer Travis Barkertalked about it in a video on TikTok.

Landon, 20, who is also a musician like his father, said he has a “very, very minor” case of the neurological disorder that causes a person to have involuntary physical or verbal tics.

“I’ve had this since I can remember, like preschool,” Landon recalled.

“I remember exactly why the teacher accused me of rolling my eyes at her because one of my tics was [mover os olhos] that. It was a strange thing I did with my eyes.”

Landon said these days his tics have become less frequent and he now deals more commonly with head movements and jaw movements.

“This really works in nervous situations or stressful environments for me,” Landon concluded.

“But I thought I’d just share, why not?”

Mental health

Landon Barker had already confessed, last year, to “People” magazine, his mental health problems, which led him to abuse alcohol.

“It originally started with a bad alcohol habit… I was overindulging and just abusing that substance,” Landon recalled.

He said that for months he had suffered from depersonalization/derealization disorder, a type of dissociative disorder that consists of recurrent or persistent feelings of detachment from one's body or mental processes, usually with a feeling of being an outside observer of one's life (depersonalization) or of being disconnected from an environment (derealization), according to the Merck Manual.

“It was horrible, and I went through intense OCD, increased ADHD, and increased anxiety, all while dissociating and feeling like I was in a video game… I watched my entire life through a movie screen. It was honestly horrible,” she revealed.

“It kind of started with: I would drink, and the next day I would disassociate a lot, and that's how my heavy drinking started. It was like, oh, I would feel better the second I had a drink, and then yeah, it kind of all started and it all started really quickly,” he recalls.

But Kourtney Kardashian's stepson says he stopped drinking last year after suffering a concussion.
