Kylian Mbappé, world football star, officially began his new phase at Real Madrid this Wednesday (7). The striker reported to the Valdebas Training Center and has already carried out his first physical exercises with the Merengue squad. Mbappé also underwent the mandatory series of tests, as is customary for newly signed players.

First contact with the technical team

Mbappé took his first steps towards joining the Real Madrid squad in a meeting with coach Carlo Ancelotti and fitness coach Antonio Pintus. The Frenchman had been resting since July, after playing in the Euros and then taking part in his official presentation at the Merengue club. The forward did not hide his enthusiasm on social media: “Day 1. Let's go, Madrid!”wrote Mbappé.

Pre-season starts for other players

It wasn't just Mbappé who reported to the club on Wednesday. Carvajal, Bellingham, Valverde, Tchouameni, Camavinga and Mendy, big names in the star-studded Real Madrid squad and current UEFA Champions League champions, also began pre-season on the same date.

They did not participate in the team's trip to the United States to play friendlies due to their participation in the Copa América and Eurocopa. Real Madrid, despite the absences, beat Chelsea and won 2-1 in a friendly held in the city of Charlotte.

Preparation for the European Super Cup

On August 14, Real Madrid will play their first important game of the season. It is the European Super Cup, where the UEFA Champions League winners will face Atalanta, the current UEFA Europa League champions.
