Cássio says goodbye to Corinthians and Augusto Melo promises to bust the goalkeeper

Last Saturday afternoon (18), at CT Joaquim Grava, goalkeeper Cássio Ramos gave his last press conference as a Corinthians player. On the occasion, the faithful's idol received tributes from the organized fans and, from President Augusto Melo, promised a bust in his honor.

Before goalkeeper Cássio's press conference began, Corinthians president Augusto Melo made a brief statement. Augusto defined the date as a sad day for all Corinthians, but took the opportunity to thank his idol and family man. The president of Timão also thanked the number 12 for his 12 years dedicated to the club, for the titles, and for making history.

For the Corinthians leader, Cássio, who is the second most played player for Corinthians, will be remembered every day at CT Joaquim Grava: “I wish you a happy life. The Corinthians Follow your path, but we will pay a simple tribute to you. You leave under my management, but it will be under my management that you will get a bust at Parque São Jorge”, concluded Augusto Melo.

Corinthians' eternal number 12 answered, for the last time, all the questions asked by the press, at CT Joaquim Grava. But before the question period opened, Cássio made a statement to the entire Corinthians fans. The 36-year-old goalkeeper began by thanking all the tributes paid and, subsequently, announced the end of his cycle.

According to the faithful's idol, despite it being a sad day for many, for him there are many memories and good things experienced and, therefore, he prefers to remember the positive things. Cássio also made a point of remembering that upon his arrival, in 2012, there was distrust regarding his work and that the room, now full, had only 5 or 6 reporters at his first press conference: “Thanking everyone, all the teammates, coaches I had, the employees I've known for a long time, it's just gratitude for everything. I leave calmly, because I know I did everything I could to help Corinthians”, said Cassius.

To conclude his statement, Cássio stated that he leaves in peace, having dedicated himself in every way to doing his best for Corinthians.
