In an interview with Deadline, director Peter Hoar and director of photography Eben Bolter, responsible for the episode titled “Long, Long, Time” from the series “The Last Of Us”, which portrays the story of Bill (Nick Offerman) and Frank (Murray Bartlett), revealed the reason behind the decision not to show the dead characters at the end of the episode.
Bolter explained that the decision not to show the corpses was discussed early on and showrunners Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann decided together with the team that it would not be necessary, taking into account the inherent brutality of the game's universe. They also talked about other creative decisions for the episode like the use of natural light and building Bill's town from scratch.
