next-gen update of Cyberpunk 2077
Polish game developer CD Projekt RED announced the next-gen update of Cyberpunk 2077 for the Xbox Series X and the PlayStation 5 on Tuesday during a livestream on Twitch.
With the update, the game should take full advantage of the possibilities of the new consoles. For example, the loading times have been accelerated and various visual and technical improvements have been made.
Some elements have also been added to the game, for example the ability to change appearance halfway through the game.
Game developer makes next-gen update of Cyberpunk 2077 available
After Cyberpunk 2077 appeared in November 2020, the game struggled with a lot of problems. The game suffered from technical flaws, which caused it to falter and look less good than in the ads.
That led to a rain of complaints, after which the game was removed from the PlayStation game store.
CD Projekt RED has since made several updates addressing the errors. Actually, the next-gen update was supposed to be released last year, but the project was delayed.
The game update should be playable right away. Anyone who has already purchased the game for the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One can download the update for free.
