Terra e Paixão: Find out why Irene is the soap opera’s great villain

In “Terra e Paixão”, on TV Globo, we are attentive to every step of Antônio La Selva (Tony Ramos). In fact he is a great crook who does everything to get what he wants, which is basically all control of the lands of New Spring. But, he has someone who shows his vixen side in every chapter. It is Irene (Gloria Pires).

Another point that shows that Irene is the great villain of Walcyr Carrasco’s serial is her constant ambition in succession: She would do absolutely anything to win the position for one of her children. The aspect she shows is always very aggressive towards Caio (Cauã Reymond) and at the same time she tries to do that basic gaslighting to convince her that she is not the problem, but the boy who was raised by her.

In addition to all this, she will be suspected of poisoning Cândida (Susana Vieira). It turns out that the owner of the bar knew everything about Irene’s past: She was a prostitute at the brothel and was hired by the pimp. Her beloved children are the result of her hidden relationship with her brother-in-law, Ademir (Charles Fricks). Want more? We have more!

She will also improve her daughter’s relationship and join the crook Luigi to steal Antonio’s entire fortune. Another ‘nice’ thing she will do is buy Aline’s letter from Ramiro’s henchman (Amaury Lorenzo) to benefit from everything you can about her husband. Do we have more? For now it’s “only”! But, Irene’s villainy is just starting to come out and be demonstrated: Coups together with Graça (Agatha Moreira) and trying to disrupt Aline’s life by forcing Gladys (Leona Cavalli) to fire the school teacher…
