Star Wars – The game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II (KOTOR II) is not playable on the Nintendo Switch. Developer Aspyr is aware of the problem and is working on a solution.
Star Wars: KOTOR II originally appeared on the original Xbox in 2004. The Switch version of the game was released on June 8 by Aspyr, a studio that often transfers classic games to new consoles.
People who bought the game are now finding out that it can’t be finished. About halfway through the game, players will see a video, after which the game will stop. There is no way around the crash.
Aspyr writes on Twitter that the problem is known. The developer promises to fix it in the upcoming update, although it is not known when that will come.
“We know that there is no way to finish the game now and our team is working on a solution that will come as soon as possible,” the studio told a duped player. “We apologize for the inconvenience and we appreciate your patience.”
