New pink drug with the scent of strawberry invades Spain: health danger

With striking colors the new drug known as “strawberry cocaine”, ‘‘rosy”, ‘‘thoui”, ”nexus” or “Eros” was found throughout Spain.

The country’s police have already located the drug, which draws attention due to its color and attractive smell reminiscent of strawberries, in several places, especially the most popular ones, such as Mallorca, Ibiza and the Baellar Islands. This drug includes caffeine, stamina, MDMA, mixed with other hallucinogenic substances.

According to Maria Elena Cogollo, from the Spanish police anti-drug group: “The more fun the place (which is) full of young people, the more possible it is to find this product. Unfortunately, the drug entered the country recently and received a lot of acceptance in Spain, but that is not good. The effect of the product depends on the mixture they use. If they use an excessive amount of ketamine, it will be very dangerous”.

She also pointed out that even moderate consumption can bring sequelae to health, causing imbalance and being more predictable falls and even bladder problems. Therefore, the recommendation is not to ingest any type of drug, because, “You never know how much will affect your body.”

Produced in Columbia, it became known as a chic drug, since it cost 100 euros (R$520), not being very accessible to the lower class.

“For example, if a person inhales a mixture rich in ketamine and also drinks alcohol, the depressant effects of both substances will be intensified. This can lead to loss of coordination, sedation and fainting. If ecstasy predominates, its combination with alcohol increases dehydration of the body and increases the risk of sunstroke”points out a report by the Spanish newspaper El Pais on the drug

The danger is becoming constant, not least because it is a light drug to be ingested, but very potent inside. Bringing consequences for life.
