“Back at 15: Season 2 on Netflix!

THE Netflix announced this Tuesday (11), several new features for this year 2023 and “Back at 15”, the teen hit starring Maisa Silva and Camila Queiroz was confirmed for a 2nd season.

“Hey, @Maisa and @Camiqueirozreal… Are you missing Back at 15? Because I am. THE SECOND SEASON COMES THIS YEAR!”, wrote the official Twitter Netflix Brazil who shared the announcement using some photos of the plot, where in one of the images Maisa appears wearing a pink wig and Camila dressed in a shiny blouse.

To continue the story, the production changed the entire team of writers.

“After that, it was necessary to understand how our humor and our references fit into the universe and characters already created both by the writers of the first season and by Bruna Vieira, author of the book on which the series is inspired”, He spoke Gautier, plot scriptwriter.

She also told that Victor Brandt, The series' chief writer called her for an interview after meeting her on Twitter.

“I told him that back in 2006, the same year in which the series takes place, I had watched one of the greatest masterpieces of cinema called 'High School Musical' and that after that I had decided to become a screenwriter to write a love story like Troy and Gabriella's. When I found out that the project was 'Back at 15', my 14-year-old self was overjoyed. Being a tweeter has never been so worth it”, revealed the screenwriter.

In the first season, the story has a style similar to the 2000s classic “Suddenly 30”, where Anita (Camila Queiroz) is a 30-year-old woman who has the opportunity to return to her 15 years (Maisa Silva). In this adventure, she tries to fix the mistakes of the past and the lives of everyone around her, but each change in the past ends up having consequences in the future and not all of them are good.

A 1th session “Back at 15” can be seen on Netflix. So far, the platform has not confirmed the premiere date for season 2.
