EA Sports is going to give football game FIFA – The popular football game FIFA gets a new name. The games will be called EA Sports FC from next year, reports the developer Tuesday.
EA Sports has terminated the agreement on the naming rights with the international football association FIFA. Why exactly the developer did that is not reported.
The current deal between the two sides was originally supposed to end after this year’s World Cup in Qatar, but has been extended until next summer. This year, the last FIFA game will be released: FIFA 23.
The developer reports on its website that EA Sports FC will contain content that players are used to.
The agreement between EA and FIFA on the name of the games is separate from the other collaborations and licenses.
