On Tuesday, the High Court of Johannesburg ordered seven Chinese citizens and his company for numerous crimes accusations, including trafficking in persons, who were committed in Village, in the background of Johannesburg, several years ago.

The accused faced 158 charges, including offenses such as human beings, violations of labor law and violations of occupational health and safety regulations,” said the National Processing Authority (NPA) gate, Phindi Mjonondwane.

The accused are Shu -i Tsao, 42, Biao Ma, Hui Chen, 50, Quin Li, 56, Zhou Jiaquing, 46, Junying Dai, 58, Zhilian Zhang, 51, and his Beautiful Company (PTY) Ltd.

“Police received a tip on an illegal factory employing foreign citizens, leading them to conduct an attack.” The factory produced cotton fiber leaves.

After the attack, police led an investigation that revealed that between 2017 and 2019, the accused operated on the beautiful city and employed 91 indocmented Malawians, including 16 minors aged 14 to 16 years.

“Upon arrival, the victims were confined to the facilities in inhuman conditions, with armed guards controlling their movements. The victims were forced to work on 11 hours, seven days a week, without proper training or safety equipment, ”said Mjonondwane.
