Haaland admits surprise at Manchester City performance

Approaching the final games of his first season in manchester city, Erling Haaland received his first individual trophy for the club. After expressive numbers, the striker was elected the best player who plays in England, counting on the vote of journalists. The award was sponsored by FWA (Association of Football Chroniclers).

After winning the award, the top scorer said he was convinced he would perform well at the English club, but was surprised by his own numbers. “I had no doubt that I would perform playing for a good team. So I had no doubts, to be honest.”said Manchester City’s number 9.

In sequence, Haaland was asked about the number of goals scored, which exceeds the number of matches played. “I didn’t expect so many (goals), but I expected to score. Last year City scored 100 goals. So I expected to come and score. I expected, but not so much (laughs)”confirmed the striker.
