It is important to highlight that Gabigol asked for an increase of just over 50% of his salary for the next contract. Flamengo retreated a little in the conversations and made it clear that it will not give such a high benefit. Even so, the two parties will continue the negotiation to reach a common denominator. The striker wants to stay in Gávea and the team from Rio de Janeiro also wants to continue with the partnership.

The player must sign a contract valid for five seasons with Flamengo. If the agreement comes out later this year, he will guarantee his permanence until 2028.
