Catarina Mina delivers exciting debut parade, in honor of artisans from Ceará

The Ceará brand Catarina Mina debuted this Friday, the 12th, at the biggest fashion event in Brazil and the most important in Latin America, the São Paulo Fashion Week. Under the topic Guardians of Memory, the parade was an emotional tribute to the artisans from Ceará who dedicate their lives to the preservation and transmission of traditions and artisanal knowledge.

On the catwalk, around 40 looks combining various artisanal techniques, from Jaguaribe fillet embroidery to Trairi bobbin, in addition to the use of carnauba straw and croá. The collection also includes the crochet that is the brand's DNA and a new pattern that mixes the tradition of artisans with classic tailoring, highlighting linen and silk pieces with exclusive prints for SPFW.

For around 18 years, Catarina Mina has been promoting actions to value and preserve the practice of crafts, based on the protagonism of women artisans. “It's exciting to be at the biggest fashion event in Brazil, taking not only our creations, but also the essence and talent of the artisans from Ceará who dedicate their lives to safeguarding our culture. Being present in this space means giving voice and visibility to these guardians of memory, who deserve all the recognition and respect, as there is no craftsmanship without artisans”, says Celina Hissa, founder of the brand.

Main sponsor of the parade, Havaianas contributed to the lifestyle Brazilian presented in looks with slippers and mules of the brand, highlighting the authenticity of the country. The Slim Point model was the highlight, reflecting the innovation and contemporary style that the brand brought to the first edition of the year at SPFW. The fashion show was also supported by Werner, Círculo, Somos Wee, Sebrae CE, Government of Ceará and Indaiá, consolidating the partnership and strengthening the Brazilian fashion scene.
