All about Facebook
Facebook is one of the most widely used social networks in the world, with millions of photos, videos, texts and memes shared. But what do you do when the platform prevents you from using it normally?
To deal with this issue, we’ve put together a series of possible solutions for you to try. Below, we’ll show you what to do if Facebook stops working.
Check if the problem is the company
Although people who work for Facebook are already accustomed to the large amount of data they need to manage to keep the platform active, this does not always go as planned. Therefore, if the social network's website or application starts to give problems, the first thing you should do is check whether the cause of the instability is the company itself.

The easiest way to check this is to go to the Down Detect website, look for reports from other users about the platform having any problems, and analyze whether the Facebook performance graph looks good or bad. In addition, you can access the website or app from different devices: if there is also instability, then there is a chance that the problem is with the social network's servers.
Restart the systems
Now, you need to prioritize your app and device. Try closing the software on your device (or all open tabs in your browser), return to the desktop, and restart your device.
Doing this will not only close any and all programs that were running in the background, but it will also close the Facebook app and may restore/update some commands on your device.
Then wait for the device to start, connect to the internet again and only then try to open the application or website.
Check for updates or delete the app
Apps are constantly updated, but these updates are not always automatic: in this case, you must install them manually. To do this, open your phone's app store, search for the Facebook app and see if there is a pending update; if so, update the app.

If this doesn't work or if you don't have an update pending, then delete the app and then reinstall it. This will help clear out corrupted data, overflowing cache folders, and will allow you to download the latest version of the app.

Check your internet connection
Considering that Facebook is an application that requires internet, the absence of it prevents you from using the app. Therefore, we recommend that you first check if your internet signal is active: open other applications, such as YouTube, and see if the internet is working normally. If it is working at full speed, skip to the next topic in the text.
However, if it does have problems, we recommend that you do the following: turn off the equipment when unplugging it, wait a minute, turn it back on and press the “Reset” button on the side of the modem. Then, wait for the internet to stabilize and try to access social media apps.
Clear your browser cache
Every software has a cache folder, which stores data about your browsing activity in the application. However, when this folder becomes overcrowded or contains corrupted data, it affects the playback of websites.

So, go to your browser settings, look for the cache data and delete all of it. Then, close the browser and open it again.
