filming for season 2 has already started

Filming for season 2 of HBO Max's ''Gossip Girl'' has already begun. The cast is already in New York, where the series is being filmed. This week, images of Jordan Alexander (Julien), Whitney Peak (Zoya), Thomas Doherty (Max), Evan Mock (Aki), Savannah Lee Smith (Monet) and Zión Moreno (Luna) reuniting on the set circulated.

Actor Evan Mock, who recently had brown hair, now appears with his hair dyed pink, like his character. According to the series' official Twitter, filming began this Friday (04). The premiere is scheduled for the second half of this year.

In an interview with the Decider portal, Joshua Safran – the creator of the reboot – spoke about the second season and revealed that there will be episodes recorded outside the United States. '' In every season of the original 'Gossip Girl,' there was an out-of-town episode, and in every season of this 'Gossip Girl,' there will be too.” he said.

“So in season one, because of Covid, we were supposed to go to a remote location, which wasn’t possible. Instead, we left the city, uh, it’s a version of the Hamptons. I won’t say what it is, but it’s not the Hamptons. So in season two, we’re leaving the country.”explains Joshua.

In November 2021, a Brazilian fan asked Joshua if it would be possible for the recordings to take place in Brazil. He replied that the idea is being discussed internally.

In an interview with the Paly Center For Media, surrounded by part of the series' cast, he spoke about the possibility of a musical episode. ''You don't even need to plant (this idea), I'm not going to do it! But I will say, in the upcoming season, the writers were trying to do a musical episode and I vetoed it. Just to be clear.''Joshua added. He received approving looks from the cast of ''Gossip Girl''.

The first season of the reboot was split into two parts by HBO Max. The first half, with six episodes, premiered in July last year and the second part, with six more episodes, arrived on the platform in November. All twelve episodes are available for streaming.
