Man who stole Lady Gaga’s dogs has to go to jail for four years

One of the three men suspected of stealing Lady Gaga’s dogs was sentenced to four years in prison on Wednesday in the US state of California. During the robbery in February 2021, the singer’s dog walker was shot.

Ryan Fischer was ambushed by the suspect sentenced on Wednesday when he walked Lady Gaga’s dogs. Another suspect fired the shot that struck Fischer.

The three of them took the dogs Koji and Gustav with them. A third dog, Miss Asia, ran away and was later found.

The dogs Koji and Gustav also returned safely. They were delivered healthy to a police station in Los Angeles after Lady Gaga had offered a reward of 500,000 dollars (then about 410,000 euros).

Los Angeles police said the suspects at the time of the kidnapping did not know it was Lady Gaga’s dog. They were after the French bulldogs because of their value.

The now convicted twenty-year-old suspect has confessed to the crime.
