PlayStation VR2 Players Will Be Able to Access Games on PC

PlayStation VR2 players! That glorious legion who have been eagerly waiting to finally give their VR headset a real purpose.

The good news has arrived: from August 7th, you will be able to connect your PS VR2 to your PC!

Yes, that's right, the PlayStation VR2, that device that only served to confuse you with so many wires, will now have a decent use. All this thanks to an adapter that will allow you access the vast game library from SteamVR.

Let's Get Serious: Improvements and Usability

To the glorious console masters, you can now join the PC Master Race gods and enjoy legendary titles like Half-Life: Alyx It is Fallout 4 VR. It looks like Sony has finally decided that PlayStation gamers deserve a little more freedom.

Minimum Requirements (Or “Be Worthy to Play”)

Prepare your machines, because the minimum requirements are no joke:

• Operational system: Windows 10/11 64-bit
• Processor: Intel Core i5-7600 or AMD Ryzen 3 3100
• RAM: 8 GB (seriously, who even uses less than that?)
• GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 or later, or AMD Radeon RX 5500XT or later

It is clear, Bluetooth 4.0 or later to ensure everything connects smoothly. After all, we want a fluid experience, don't we?

Settings? Easy!

Connecting the PS VR2 to the PC is as easy as convincing a console gamer to try an FPS on PC. Plug in the adapter, connect the DisplayPort cable, download the PlayStation VR2 app and SteamVR, and you're done! Now you can configure your play areas and customize your settings until you find the perfect match.

A World of (Limited) Possibilities

Unfortunately, we won't be able to use all of PS VR2's amazing features on PC. Goodbye HDR, headset feedback, eye movement detection and all those adaptive triggers. But hey, you'll still get 4K visuals, a 110-degree field of view, and 3D audio. So, it's not a complete disaster.

A Fun Evolution!

Finally, a reason to dust off your PS VR2! With the Steam library at your disposal, the sky is the limit (or rather, your limit is your graphics card). Sony has finally taken a HUGE step, I have to admit!

Get ready to explore new worlds, blast zombies, and maybe, just maybe, fall in love with your PS VR2 again. And who knows, this adapter will make you forget that time when you were stuck with the limitations of the PlayStation.
