Brad Pitt, a thief? His partner files a complaint, the French tax authorities on the spot

They have been separated since 2016, but the war is still raging between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. It must be said that their huge property in the south of France, bought in 2008, 25 million euros, is the subject of endless disputes. The actor accuses his ex-wife of having sold his shares in the management company of the bastide to a businessman. The father of the family indicates that he and his ex-wife had signed a contract which stipulated that no sale was possible if one of the two parties did not agree. But, now the star of Maleficent would not have honored this agreement. Brad Pitt’s response? He filed a complaint against Angelina Jolie.

The new partner of the actor, a Russian businessman, digs a little too much into the accounts of the company managing the bastide whose shares he bought from Angelina Jolie. Indeed, according to our colleagues from The Informedthe oligarch “Wonders why the juicy income generated since 2013 by the vineyard in which he invested has never benefited the partners. Or why the shareholders who lent 68 million euros to the company have not been reimbursed with a single penny“, indicate our colleagues from Closer taking up information from the investigation site. The Russian businessman is then convinced that 60 million euros “were swallowed up between 2014 and 2020 in pharaonic works but ‘without economic objective’”.

Brad Pitt would then have offered himself a few small gifts such as a fifth swimming pool, valued at one million euros, dovecotes, the services of Croatian stonemasons… Thus, the lawyers of the Russian businessman decided to take legal action, denouncing a management “likely to constitute an abuse of corporate assets“. A complaint was then filed against two relatives of Brad Pitt, who take care of the estate. At the same time, the actor must also face the French tax authorities. While they bought the vineyard in 2008 for the sum of 25 million euros, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, still in a relationship, are embarking on work that raises the price of the property to 45 million euros.

But now six years later, the price of the bastide is reassessed and the “Price mysteriously falls to 25.7 million. A sleight of hand which makes it possible to reduce the results of the company Château Miraval SA and therefore to pay less tax”. Thus, the French tax authorities took the decision to turn the company around. The actor appealed. Pending the response of French justice, Brad Pitt is embarking on new projects. After the Miraval estate wine, the American star launched into the production of gin. He thus teamed up with a Provençal family to produce this spirit, the bottle of which is sold at the price of 45 euros, as indicated by our colleagues from Figaro who were able to interview the two new partners.
