Last Thursday (28), the Federal Government auctioned a series of lots in order to obtain public-private partnerships with energy transmission as the focus. There were 15 lots in total and, with all of them added together, it is estimated that the total investment made to complete the work is around R$18.2 billion. Among the companies that stood out most in purchasing the lots are Eletrobras and the Warehouse fund, a subsidiary of Banco BTG Pactual, owned by the former Minister of Economy, Paulo Guedes.

However, other companies also purchased some lots, including EDP, Energisa, Alupar, the Brasiluz groups, Cox Brasil and the Paraná consortium. The companies, upon winning the auction, will have to build new power transmission lines and substations throughout the country, with each lot being indicative of which region they should be built.
